STORY is that teaching- learning technique which will enhance the study and social skills of the young learners and thus contribute to a holistic development of their personality. Stories are the best learning tool to boost the superior ‘right brain skills’ of our children. They boost the analytical and sequential skills as well as the heuristic and conceptual skills.

Stories have been proved to the best mode of language learning. It provides a holistic language development opportunity for the learner. Used effectively, stories have immense potential to develop Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing (LSRW) skills of the learners.

Television, computer and mobile phones are the best friends of our children. All these technology based entertainment gadgets have a huge limitation- lack of natural and interpersonal interaction.

Studies have pointed out the adverse effects of ‘tech addiction’, such as dearth of imagination and creativity, critical thinking and analytical reasoning, social skills, empathy, care for others and civic responsibility. The survey reports and statistics published time to time create panic in parents who often find their kids glued to the electronic mode of entertainment.

Aunt Owl’s Tales is a workshop for children and their parents. This is an opportunity for your child to move away from the television and computer/ I pad/ tablet which are mono communication modes and to engage in purposeful dialogues with ‘real people’ and ‘real world’. This workshop will kindle a spirit to read WORDS and thus will lead them to a world of LETTERS. Thus they will progress from their visual auditory world to a world of creativity and imagination.
